Jeff Comer Joins CASNET as Chief Technology Officer
Akron, Ohio – April, 2011: CASNET, the leading provider of Information Management Solutions and Business Process Outsourcing in Ohio has named Mr. Jeff Comer as Chief Technology Officer. Mr. Comer will be responsible for leading the future product strategies while overseeing Customer Service, Professional Services and the IT Administration functions of the organization.

Mr. Comer brings to CASNET over twenty years of leading organizations in software development, product introduction, and innovation, along with establishing and constantly innovating business processes. Prior to joining CASNET, Mr. Comer was Vice President of Emerging Products and CTO at OEConnection, LLC. a joint internet venture of GM, Ford, and Snap-On Business Solutions. Prior to OEConnection, Mr. Comer worked for ProQuest Business Solutions, where he led the development of internet based solutions.
Scott Brothers Joins CASNET as Senior Account Manager
Akron, Ohio – March, 2011: CASNET, the leading provider of document management solutions and business process outsourcing in Ohio, has hired Mr. Scott Brothers as Senior Account Manager. Scott is rejoining CASNET, where he was employed from 1996 – 2002, after spending the past nine years with two competitors in Cleveland.

Scott’s knowledge and experience in designing and managing content management and solution software fits well with the established Account Managers and team at CASNET. He is responsible for managing current accounts while establishing document management solutions and services to new clients throughout the Ohio Valley Region.
CASNET Acheives Diamond Status by Hyland Software
Akron, Ohio – February, 2011: CASNET, has been recognized by Hyland Software as a Diamond Status partner. The Diamond Status is Hyland’s highest Technical Support classification a partner can achieve and was awarded to only 39 out of 439 partners.

CASNET names Terry Fischer as President and COO
Akron, Ohio – November, 2010: CASNET, the leading provider of document management solutions and business process outsourcing in Ohio, has named Mr. Terry Fischer as President and Chief Operating Officer, effective November 15, 2010. Mr. Fischer will be responsible for all aspects of the company’s operations including, product development, sales, marketing and all service delivery.
Mr. Brad Bowers, Chairman and CEO, stated; “Terry is an incredible addition to our team and I am pleased to have the opportunity to work beside him. Our employees, customers and partners will benefit from Terry’s experience in building strong customer relationships and growing technology businesses.” Mr. Fischer has a demonstrated track record in product development, sales, marketing and with applying lean principals in information technology, electronic publishing, and software industries. Prior to joining CASNET, Mr. Fischer has held senior leadership positions at Bell and Howell, Graphic Detail, ProQuest and Jet Inc. Mr. Fischer is a graduate of The University of Akron, Baldwin Wallace College and received his MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business.

CASNET Completes Acquitition of NCD Corporation
Akron, Ohio – March, 2010: CASNET, an Akron based Document Management Solution provider, has purchased NCD Corporation and it’s Electronic Worldwide Information Exchange (eWIX) scanning and retrieval product. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
In announcing the acquisition, Brad Bowers, CEO of CASNET stated “The Akron Community will immediately benefit from this transaction as we project to double our revenue and hire 25 to 50 staff members over the next two years.”
The key of technology that this acquisition brings CASNET is eWIX. CASNET eWIX is a web based software application that will allow CASNET to offer customers an affordable, secure document management solution without the capital expense of installing and maintaining an in-house document management system.
“This acquisition gives us the opportunity to bring new solutions to our existing customers,” stated Mike Leeders, Vice President of Conversion and Data Services at CASNET, “and to expand our digital conversion capacity by 42%. Through this acquisition, we are able to not only grow throughout Ohio, but it allows CASNET to expand our service area throughout the Country, and immediately increase our staffing level.”
Dominion East Ohio Gas Moves to Digital Field Books
Akron, Ohio - January, 2010: Dominion East Ohio, the leading provider of natural gas in Northeast Ohio, has selected CASNET, to digitally image their field books. CASNET, an Akron based Document Management Solution provider, scanned 325 hand written Field Books (85,000+ pages) which will allow the Dominion Staff and Field Reps to retrieve key information by electronic digital access for the eight (8) city, county service area. The result provides for better, faster, and more accurate customer service, thus saving time and money.
CASNET was contracted to handle all aspects of the project on-site at Dominion offices in Akron since the Field Books were not permitted to leave their building. The Field Books were prepped, scanned and indexed. Once the project was completed, CASNET provided the digital images to Dominion to load into their database permitting immediate electronic access by their Field Reps and Staff.
While the project was expected to take three (3) weeks, CASNET completed the entire project in a week and a half. Subsequently, Dominion has contracted with CASNET to convert over one million images to PDF.
